“It is an honor and joy to work with such a diverse patient population. I learn something new at my job every day!”.
While studying writing and film-making at UW-Madison, Emily first became interested in midwifery in her early 20’s. Many years later, after working as a video producer and portrait photographer, her interest turned into a calling and she began the journey to midwife. Emily immediately fell in love with West Side Community Health Services when she was a student here. One thing she loves about this clinic is the ability to provide full spectrum women’s health care to women from so many different walks of life. She is working on her Spanish skills to try and provide more culturally competent care to our many Spanish speaking patients. Her clinical interests include contraception, gestational diabetes, and supporting normal physiologic birth. In her free time, Emily enjoys practicing yoga, knitting, cooking, and freelance media production.
