We envision a community in which all people have access to exceptional, comprehensive health care and are living healthy lives. Minnesota Community Care is the leader in delivering affordable health care by being the provider of choice, driven by compassion and respect for all.
We provide gynecology problem visits, birth control counseling and prescriptions, prenatal and postpartum care, colposcopies, and breast and cervical cancer screenings. The MN SAGE Program helps us provide Pap smears and mammograms to all women.
What is a Nurse Midwife?
A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) has advanced training to care for the health of women throughout the lifespan. This includes care during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum. It also includes services such as family planning and routine women’s health care needs. If a high risk situation presents itself during pregnancy, you need a cesarean, or require specialized care, we work together with a team of obstetricians and specialists from Health Partners and Minnesota Perinatal Physicians.
Our team of Certified Nurse Midwives and family doctors wants to support you during this special time. The word midwife means, “with women.” That is our goal. To be “with” you during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Read more about the role of midwives on the official page for the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
