“An African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together.” I’m happy to say we traveled both fast AND far this year by coming together in the face of overwhelming challenges and focusing on our mission—providing health for all. I could not be prouder of the Minnesota Community Care team and the services we have provided to the community we serve.”
– Reuben Moore
President & Executive Officer

Internship Placement Criteria & Recruitment
MCC has recently implemented a revised internship placement process to enhance the quality and scope of clinical training. Under this updated framework, only students engaged in Full Scope practice will be considered for internship opportunities.
We are actively recruiting qualified Family Medicine Providers—including MDs, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Physician Assistants (PAs)—who are committed to fostering comprehensive clinical education.
In addition, we continue to welcome placements in Behavioral/Mental Health and Social Work, including students pursuing MSW and BSW programs, as part of our broader commitment to integrated care and interdisciplinary learning.
Affiliation Agreement Requirement
Please note that an active and valid affiliation agreement must be in place between MCC and the partnering academic institution or organization prior to initiating any internship placement. If your institution does not currently have an affiliation agreement with MCC, we encourage you to reach out to: Victor M. Quiñones, vquinones@mncare.org
Rotation Opportunities
We are pleased to offer two flexible rotation options designed to accommodate varying availability and professional development goals:
- Short-Term Rotation: Duration of 3 to 4 months
- Long-Term Rotation: Duration of 4 to 9 months
Application & Review Timelines

- Fall Placements (August–September Start):
We strongly encourage inquiries to begin between March and June.
- Spring Placements (January Start):
We recommend initiating inquiries between September and November.
To apply for an internship, all students must complete this application and submit it to icm@mncare.org for consideration.
