Shandon Halland is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner currently employed with Radias Health in outpatient psychiatric provider. He graduated from Boston College Connell School of Nursing with a Master’s in Nursing in 2010.
During training, Mr. Halland completed a fellowship through the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Foundation in a project supporting formerly homeless adults.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Mr. Halland worked with people with mental illness and homelessness in Ramsey County for 7 years.
His expertise is with adult psychiatry and addiction care. Current setting is as an outpatient psychiatric provider for an Assertive Community Treatment team for Radias Health. In this role, Mr. Halland is a clinical lead on a team providing intensive outpatient psychiatric and rehabilitative support for people with severe and persistent mental illness.
Concurrently, Mr. Halland is working with Minnesota Community Care’s Health Care for the Homeless team as a psychiatric provider, bringing his knowledge of homeless outreach, psychotherapeutic modalities (DBT, CBT, trauma informed approach), and psychopharmacology to engaging with the population of homeless individuals with mental illness.
