Elaine Boehm, MSN, APRN, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife at East Side Family Clinic. She moved to Saint Paul and to this clinic 12 years ago as her first position as a midwife. Her interest in becoming a midwife was sparked many years ago with the attentive prenatal care and attendance at the lovely births of her children by two dedicated midwives.
She feels honored to work with so many women from multiple different cultures and backgrounds. She is interested in your story: where are you from, what paths you have taken in your life, how you got to now. She feels this all impacts your health. Developing relationships with patients, colleagues, and co-workers is one of her strengths. She believes in providing education and explanation of options, in order for women to claim their own power to discover the care that they feel works for them.
Elaine focuses on contraception, low risk pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care, acute gynecology issues, STI screening, and well woman exams centered around Pap and Breast cancer screening. Patients seen from early teen through menopause.
She enjoys travel, reading, and gardening. She has three children and two grandchildren, who she loves to gather, converse, and play with.
